Next  events is the Governor’s cup , Notice of race and sailing instructions will be coming shortly.
We need a head count of boats and crews to prepare for the festivities….

Commodore’s Report
Eleven boats braved the elements: flat seas and light wind 12 knots  from the S to SE. TeeSou  rounded the red mark  and then  crossed the line in  first ,closely followed by Kathy Lynn ( thank Frank to lend your boat to your crew)  and in third  by the well inspired  Jaime on  Southern Cross.Then Patty on Pirate Girl   ,  Achilles Heel,   Circassia,  Confidence III,  Runaway,   Blind Date, La Bonne Vie  and Nansea.
Special thanks to Bill and Nancy who picked up the mark. We all  had a great time. Back to our racing season , this coming week-end :Saturday June 4th will be races 5&6.
This will be your last chance to practice before the Gov’cup scheduled on the 18 &19. Don’t miss it

Skippers meeting  at 8.45am Myrtle beach Yacht club this Saturday, Course to the mark will be announced there ( no GPS  coordinate: Dead reckoning only to keep the suspense..)
Distance is 6.25 to the mark, about 500 yards from the beach.The last boat rounding the mark will pick it up (with a 6 minutes credit at the end).
Please record your finish time (For Jeff ‘s PHRF and golf rating study) After the race get together is  TBD
The start line will be the Seabuoy and  the channel entry green marker ,start time as follow ( based on Golf rating as a test)

With winds blowing 5-10kts on calm seas, TeeSou took first place in both races Saturday in the racing division. In the cruising division, Achilles and Confidence III split the two races.

CRUISING RALLY SATURDAY!

Saturday will be our last cruising rally of the season. A run to the Sherman with 10kn of NW wind  should help us  to get the spinnaker bag on deck for a change.
Skipper meeting as usual ( 9am MBYC). Rafting at Bird Island for a BBQ ( Bring your own stuff) . If you have grill capability, let us know. We sure  hope to see you there. Also, do not miss the fun of  the  Stede Bonnet regatta the 30th in Southport ( http://www.stedebonnetregatta.com/ )
November 13th is end of the season pot luck banquet with trophies and officer elections. We need volunteers.  We will meet at Eagle Nest.
